How to set the printer Flash Frequency?

To protect the printhead from clogging during parking, Most of the printer systems design a flash function, that works well in the past, since the printer applications are less. But nowadays, with the unify print engine configured on most of the Chinese printer, The manufacturers are not identifying that parameter before ship the printer to customers. Which makes some troubles in reality.

Above picture happened in a lot of printers. Some printers we can set the proper flash value to reduce it.

Here is an example how to set it, to avoid the ink spray, we can set a lower flash frequency, in the meantime , we can higher the capping station, to absorb the ink inside the caps.

Anyhow, the value of the flash depends on the ink you are using, if the ink is a fast drying, a stronger flash helps the continuous running. Such as Solvent ink, Eco Solvent ink and some water ink. For UV curable ink, the flash is not that highly demand.

Nowadays, some factories design an additional vacuum system in the parking area, print ends.  That system works good as most of the ink spray is absorbed into the trash.
